When it comes to trends, my current obsession is the pineapple craze! They’re everywhere! Not only have I been seeing a pineapple epidemic but an explosion of fruits, which I love! Stemming from swimwear to jewelry and even fruit shaped handbags. This is such a great way to add a fun and original style to any summer outfit. As a new member of the blogging universe I was extremely grateful to be included in the bloggers brunch during Miami Fashion week. It was hosted on the terrace of the Eden Roc hotel on Miami Beach. Between the breath taking view and the unlimited mimosas, I was truly living the good life. What I enjoyed most about this event though was being able to meet and mingle with so many of Miami’s finest fashion bloggers. All of which are extremely talented and stylish, of course. We were able to chat about Fashion week agendas and future collaborations, which I cannot wait to bring to life. It was by far one of my favorite events during the Fashion week. After getting over the excitement of being invited to the kickoff party for Miami International Fashion Week, naturally the next thing I had to decide on was of course, what to wear. Since we are in spring and for most of you Miamian’s you know that technically means summer, I was looking for something light, fresh and and colorful to wear. I pictured a printed summer dress or a skirt and blouse combo. After an unsuccessful shopping session for what I had in mind, I found a statement piece that decided what I would be wearing. It was the complete opposite of what I was looking for and what I would usually wear, but I was excited to change it up and give this trend a try! The piece that inspired it all was a crisp white vest blazer that I paired with contrast stripe cigarette pants. The menswear trend has been on the rise, seen on many red carpets from celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Jessica Alba. Here is my spin on menswear for the amazing kickoff party at the Eden Roc hotel on Miami Beach hosted by TOUS.

So, I know I am several days late to recap one of fashion’s greatest nights but I assure you, my post will be worth it by giving you a real inside look! The Met Ball, or you may know it as the social event of the season, takes place annually to raise funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute as well as an opening celebration for the institutes fashion exhibit. In attendance are the who’s who of the entertainment, art and fashion worlds. This year was no different, celebrities graced the red carpet in pure glamour, in honor of Charles James, who, according to WWD, is “Americas best-known couturier. Although its truly hard to believe that it is already the month of May, what better way to welcome it than with a little floral ootd. I know, I know, florals for spring? Groundbreaking. Well, when you pair a floral print with one of this seasons hottest colors, it can create an ensemble that will truly create a statement. I have no choice, I must confess I have a serious color crush, Mandarin. This color has captured my heart, so much so, that I decided it was the perfect color to invest in a statement bag. Usually I would decide on a neutral color when it came to a handbag of such expense but I couldn’t help but fall in love with this color. Check out how I styled my newest love for spring!

Besides my color crush, I have officially become obsessed with boyfriend jeans. It is so easy to dress them up, by just adding a pair of open toe, ankle strap sandals or pumps.
