Swim Miami RECAP!

So I know Im a bit late on this post but I wanted to share my experience at Swim Miami this year. It was a bit different than my usual swim week experience since this year was not sponsored by Mercedez Benz. I attended shows at several different hotel’s on Miami Beach like One hotel and the W South Beach, which were absolutely amazing! I really enjoyed the fact that many of the shows were inside the hotel. Usually the shows would be held at the Raleigh hotel in several cabanas in Miami’s blistering heat, so this was a nice change. I am excited to see what is in store for next year. For this particular post I thought I would do more of a photo based entry to give you a visual experience of my Swim Miami shenanigans! Enjoy!

Street Chic!

Today’s fashion post features a more casual look. Staying casual does not mean you have to look like a wreck, remember you never know who you’re going to bump into. I like to make it a point to always look presentable, unless Im heading to the gym, then you get a free pass, of course. This look is simple and comfy and still trendy and chic. I paired this adorable leopard fringe crop (currently obsessed with fringe right now) with distressed white boyfriend jeans and a pair of black and gold gladiator sandals. I added a pop of color with my newest MAC lipstick “flat out fabulous” quite appropriate, I think. This ootd is perfect to run errands, grab dinner, or shopping. You can quick change this outfit to become a night time look by just adding some pumps and a clutch. Cheers and happy Thursday, we have almost made it to the weekend!

Outfit Details: Sunnies: Tory Burch, Necklace: Charming Charlie’s, Top: H&M, Boyfriend Jeans: Old Navy, Sandals: Steve Madden. Purse: Phillip Lim for Target

Dressing for the Holidays!

With the holidays in full swing I find myself needing an array of different outfits. Although I would love to just go to a boutique and grab one of each, my bank account says otherwise. I was so excited to find this adorable romper, perfect for any holiday party or outing. Of course I found it at one of my all time favorite places for a good bargain, Marshalls. The fact that you have to search for these little gems is rewarding when you leave paying only $20 for a perfect OOTD. So before you go spend a fortune on the your holiday wardrobe, make sure you check out Marshalls, and TJ Maxx to guarantee you wont break the bank and still look fab for the holidays.

Floral Farewell to Summer!

As the end of summer quickly approaches, I had to take advantage of this fun little number. Soon, bright floral prints, short flirty dresses, and sandals will be pushed to the back of my closet as I prepare for fall colors, floppy hats and boots. Although Miami is a place where summer can be constituted as a year long season, as a fashion guru, I must partake in all the seasons, especially since fall is one of my favorites. I must be ready for the slightest hint even a possible cold front. Until then I will continue to finish out the summer season with the remaining of my summer wardrobe. I basically stole this super cute Hawaiian floral print dress from non other than Marshalls (my go to fashion secret) for the bargain price of $14.99. You really cant beat it. So, check out one of my farewell to summer ensembles in this fun floral dress and essential gladiator sandals.

Outfit Details: Dress: Marshalls, Gladiator Sandals: Steve Madden, Purse: Michael Kors, Cuff: Forever 21

How to Style your Graphic Tee: Part 2!

My last post featured a casual but oh so fashionable way of styling your graphic tee. In today’s post, using the same graphic tee I’m showing a few quick change tips to have you going from casual to cocktail ready in a flash. In this look, I switched from boyfriend jeans to a fabulous floral print skirt and corresponding accessories of course. Mixing prints by keeping the leopard pumps adds a fun and flirty feel. The days of wearing graphic tees to just run errands or stay comfy at home are a thing of the past. Check out how I styled my Celfie Graphic Tee for the second time around.

Outfit Details: Top: H&M, Skirt: J. Crew, Pumps: Steve Madden, Handbag: H&M, Sunnies: Rayban, Lipstick: Colorsensational, Electric Orange

Day to Night: Miami Fashion Week Final Recap!

After a long week of shows and events, the final day of fashion week was truly bittersweet. Although I was beyond exhausted, I was so grateful for the experience and networking opportunities that I was able to be a part of. My day began with a bloggers brunch and continued almost directly to the convention center for the day’s final shows. As a blogger, I feel that one of your biggest styling talents must be how adjust an outfit from day to night with just a few quick fixes. Naturally, on a day such as this one, I had to put my talents to good use, so heres how I styled my casual look for brunch to a look that was appropriate for the final shows and closing party.

Outfit Details: Left: Hat: Forever 21, Sunnies: Amazon, Lip Stick: MAC Dangerous, Denim Vest: Old Navy, Top: Marshalls, Skirt: Marshalls, Wedges: Steve Madden, Right: Crochet Top: Forever 21

Now on to the shows! The shows on the last day of fashion week were all so incredible. It was so hard for me to pick my favorite, but if I had to, it would be the beyond amazing resort collection of Matias Hernan. I completely fell in love with pastel prints, mixed fabrics including leather and feathers and finished with a silver trim. If this sounds amazing, believe me, it was, here are some of the looks to feed your infatuation.

Miami Fashion Week: Blogger’s Brunch!

As a new member of the blogging universe I was extremely grateful to be included in the bloggers brunch during Miami Fashion week. It was hosted on the terrace of the Eden Roc hotel on Miami Beach. Between the breath taking view and the unlimited mimosas, I was truly living the good life. What I enjoyed most about this event though was being able to meet and mingle with so many of Miami’s finest fashion bloggers. All of which are extremely talented and stylish, of course. We were able to chat about Fashion week agendas and future collaborations, which I cannot wait to bring to life. It was by far one of my favorite events during the Fashion week. Now, on to what I wore, check it out, along with some pictures from the event!

Outfit Details: Top: Marshalls, Skirt: Marshalls, Blazer: H&M, Wedges: Steve Madden, Lip Stick: MAC Heroine
