Cheers to Thirty Years!

Although its been over a month since I turned 30, I think its taken me this much time to come to terms with it, to actually be able to write this post. LOL I don’t particularly feel older as it usually is any time you turn a year older, but the logistics are different now. Instead of saying “yeah, Im twenty- something,” its now “IM THIRTY” and as the words come out, it just feels like ouch, where did my twenties go? What do I have to show for it? Is it all down- hill from here? Okay, okay, I may be over-reacting just a bit….in fact, they do say 30’s are the new 20’s, right? Which is what I keep telling myself as a sense of reassurance. I must say though, checking the 30-34 year box vs the 24- 29 box just really hurt my feelings. I feel that my expectations of turning 30, and what I had imagined I would have accomplished by this age, don’t exactly add up to the reality but, thats life! You just have to roll with it and keep on hustling for what you want, which is exactly what I intend to do.

To celebrate this monumental milestone, I decided to throw a Golden Thirty party, since these are the so- called golden years, right? Plus, dirty- thirty is already SO over-rated.  A pool party was assumed, since August is probably the hottest month of the year in Miami, and so my attire was composed of swimwear and a fabulous cover up.  Take a splash into my cheers to thirty years golden birthday!

Classic and Cool.

Today’s post pays homage to more of an everyday look. When it comes to blog posts, I usually like to feature statement pieces or unique styles, but in order for my followers to get to know me,  I really wanted highlight an outfit I would wear on regular day. Whether it be for dinner and a movie or maybe a Sunday fun-day brunch this look definitely gives off more of a classic but effortlessly cool vibe.

If it looks like I just walked out of a GAP ad well Congratulations, I pretty much did. With the exception of some of my accessories, you can find my entire look at a GAP store and let me tell you, I would not think twice about re-buying these pieces again. If I could live in this striped boyfriend button down, I probably would and soon these cropped white jeans will walk all on their own. Although this look takes a more casual take, something about it still makes me feel confident and sexy.  What do you guys think?!

Coach Collab!

It sure has been a while since my last post, it has been quite a challenge for me to balance my blogging career with my professional career and personal life but it is my goal to find consistency!  A big thank you to everyone who has stuck by me for I am so grateful for your support. Today’s post is a really special one, I was approached to partner with Coach! Yes, the brand Coach! After overcoming my initial shock I was so excited to get started on this campaign. I partnered with Coach to introduce their Dinky cross body bag currently featured in their newest Spring collection. I choose this black copper and flax oxblood color, knowing it would perfect to style with so many fun and flirty spring looks.

I put together two looks using this handbag as inspiration, in the first look I paired this “I drink coffee like a Gilmore” graphic tee. If anyone knows me, they know this tee was made for me, not only am I an avid Gilmore girls fan… waiting for that second installment of the revival but coffee is basically in my veins. I added this fun floral bomber and my favorite black skinny jeans for a trendy casual look ready for a coffee date or a day on the go.

The next look I styled was a timeless off the shoulder floral printed dress, I added a chambray button down around the waist to add a little edge. The cherry on top was of course my Coach Dinky bag that really popped with this print and some gladiator inspired tan booties.
